Cinema Cafe Celebrates 40 Years

Forty years ago, we opened our doors in Hampton Roads. You walked in. And you kept coming back. For first dates and family nights, rainy Saturdays and summer blockbusters, birthdays and bad weeks that needed a good movie. You did not just support us. You made us who we are.
September 4th – 10th, we want to say thank you the best way we know how: by inviting you back to the movies. $4 tickets for any movie, any showtime, all five Cinema Cafe locations — including our ImmersiveX premium auditoriums. No codes. No catch. Just the movies, the food, and the people who have been here with us for forty years.

Sensory Friendly Movies
Sensory Friendly shows will be be the first show of the day on select Weekends at our Greenbrier Mall (Chesapeake) location. Films and dates will be announced as the information becomes available. Tickets will go on sale Tue the week of each event; a link will be posted above to those ticketing pages.
What does "Sensory Friendly" mean?
The volume will be lowered and the lights will be kept on a dim-not-dark setting throughout the movie. This becomes safe space where our guests are free to express themselves by singing, crying, dancing, walking around, talking or shouting – whatever they need to do to feel comfortable and enjoy the movie-going experience.

Super Mario Galaxy & Code Ninjas Prize Raffle submission ends Tue, Apr 5, 2026.
ELIGIBILITY: Open only to legal residents of the United States (void in Puerto Rico). This contest is void where prohibited by law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Must be age 18 or older to enter.
HOW TO ENTER, NO PURCHASE NECESSARY: You can enter this contest via the Submission Form at any Virginia Beach or Chesapeake Cinema Cafe location, during the entry period. BY ENTERING, YOU AGREE TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES, including your release to the rights of your form, and use of your name for winner annoucement on Cinema Cafe website & social media channels. Cinema Cafe may use your submission for future marketing initiatives. One entry per person. Entries that exceed that number will be determined to be void.
SELECTION OF WINNERS: Ten (10) winners will be selected by Cinema Cafe after Apr 5th, 2026, to include 8 runner-up winners and 2 grand prize winners. If potential winners are found to be ineligible, or if they cannot be contacted, an alternate winner may be selected. Cinema Cafe will communicate with each winner to determine the best time to present prizes.
PRIZES: Each runner-up winner will receive Code Ninjas swag prize pack, provided by Code Ninjas. Each grand prize winner will receive Code Ninjas swag prize pack, including an $85 Code Ninjas Gift Certificate. All incidental expenses and taxes not specified herein will be the sole responsibility of the winner, including without limitation, federal and state taxes. No cash or prize substitution is allowed except at the discretion of Cinema Cafe. Prize is not transferable.
CONDITIONS: Cinema Cafe reserves the right to cancel or modify the raffle if unforeseen circumstances arise. By entering, participants agree to be bound by these complete Official Rules. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. All applicable federal, state and local taxes are the responsibility of the prize winner(s). Cinema Cafe is not responsible for, (i) late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, stolen or illegible entries; (ii) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by the prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, or usage of the prize; or (iii) printing, distribution or production errors. Return of prize or prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected. Entry and/or acceptance of prize(s) constitutes permission for Cinema Cafe and their agencies to use the nominator's and/or winners’ name, address (city and state) and/or likeness for advertising and trade purposes without further compensation or authorization, worldwide and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media, now known and hereafter devised, including without limitation Internet, unless prohibited by law.
